Thunder

Thunder rolled in the dark sky yesterday midnight. It often thundered and lightened.I get to sleep once, I don't usually awake. Even it happens earthquake and thunder. But I awoke yesterday night, because of thunder. Thunder's sound was noisy and I couldn't sleep for a while. So, instead, I turned on my computer, I was listening to music until I came to sleep.(63words)

Aug 7 th

I got up ususally time and I went to Unitc by myself. I remembered how to go to Unitec. It took about 20 minutes on foot to Unitec, but it took more time from enter ing in the Unitec to arrived classroom. Unitec was huge place, it was like a maze to me. If I go to place I don't know, I surely can't go back palce I was.
After I arrived the classroom, there were some friends already have been in front of classroom. Today, we went to the Aquarium, "Kelly Tarlton".
The Kelly tarlton's plange under Auckland's waterfront. You can see swiming amongst sharks, stingrays,and other amazing sea creatures! And you can get a scuba diver's view of the ocean.
New Zealand doesn't snow, so animal lives only cold place don't live in NZ. Kelly Tarlton's is only place you can see Penguins. We took vehicle like a monorail, and watched many penguins. There were many kind of penguins, and they were very pretty. After that, we watched around Kelly Tarlton's. There were many fishes, and also there were beautiful ones. There were many kinds of sharks, we could watch in our face. It was very powerful!

There were pretty children on the day. I was excited to looking them. I said before, I like children. I think foreign country's children are cuter than Japanese children. Their eyes are big and smile face is very pretty! I asked them, and I could take pictures of them. Look at above picture. A little girl are putting on Penguin's cloth. When I found the girl, I ran to her, and I took her picture. How pretty girl! Do you think so? I enjoyed staying there very much.

After we left the Kelly tarlton's, we went back Unitec to take afternoon's class. We could learn New Zealand culture and songs. I will talk about our Unitec's teacher later. I liked them very very much.

After I came back house, I relaxed living room. Sam and mom had a plan, so went out together and I and Jing left home. I took a shower and I was watching TV, a man I don't know visited our house. He was Jing's friend. He had an English name too, but I forgot his English name now. I thought he is a Jing's boyfriend at first, but it was wrong.(After I listened a news I was very surprised! I will talk about that later.)

I was asked Jing to watch night a view. L heard there is a place you can watch whole of Auckland. I said "yes!" quickly. They took me night view. I was being excited in the car. They took me place like a mountain. (Image like a Mt. Kinpo in Kumamoto) It was very cold, but there was a very beautiful night view. I could see whole of Auckland! It was wonderful sight. I felt the night view. I want to tell you the beautiful night view,so I want to show you the picture, but I couldn't take picture beautifully with my camera. It was very pity.

After that, we went to near the Mission Bay. I have heard that there is a famous ice cream shop before. They took me there. The name was "Movenpick" and it is German shop. Jing-Jing bought me ice cream. I chose "Hockey Pokey". It is a very famous ice cream in New Zealand, and I had heard about that Before I left Japan.

We ate each ice cream at the Mission Bay's beach. It was strong windy, and the wind was very cold. So I ate ice cream with shaking. The taste is caramel and it was very good. I thought I will become addicted the ice cream. I was very happy to eat Hockey Pokey. If you go to NZ, I recommend you to eat Hockey Pokey once.

Aug 6th

I got up 1 hours ago before I left the home. I met my friend in front of the library and we went to school on foot. We went shopping to St.Lukes shopping mall. The time we were given was only two hours, so we we were busy watching shop. I bought two DVD and magazines. But I had a bad news. I heard the DVD can't play in Japan from my teacher. Oh, my got!! I was very shocked to hear that. We had some sushi in the mall. It was delicious, I was very happy to eat rice. The sushi was different from Japanese one. It was put avocado. Before I went to New Zealand, I have never had avocado. So, when I eat them, I fear the taste of avocado. But it's taste was very good, and I came to like avocado. It's taste like a Toro(fatty flesh of tuna fish).
There were many people. I like children very much! I asked their parents to take a their child's picture. They willing to allow me to take a picture. I took many child's photos. I was very satisfied with taking pictures of children.

We arrived the school about 11:30. It was too early until class start. I went to cafe room, and I talked many things with my friends, including Mukai teacher. We had very good time. In the class, we learned Maori words, and we played game. It liked children's game, but it was interesting. I hang around on the way. I went to my friend's home. She lives Mt. Albert. It was near the school. We went to her homestay's house, it took about 15 minutes.
We looked her room. I thought her homestay's family is rich. I had good time at her house. I arrived my house at 6:20. It was later than usually. I was afraid my mother worried about me. I called home when I was in my friend's house.
But when I arrived my house, there was nobody people.
After that, Sam and mom went to back, and cooked dinner soon. I helped them and I cut onion and tomato. We cooked hamberger for 4 people. It was very delicious. After dinner, I talked Jing about the day and watched DVD I bought today. It was so lovery movie.(384words)

Aug 5th

I got up at 7:00 o'clock,(it was 4:00 am in Japan). I must go to school at eight thrity. I ate cerial in the morning. It's taste looked like hamster's food. I went to school by car, Jing took me to there. On the way, I saw my friends were walking the road. So, I got off the car, I walked to Unitec with hers. There was a rainbow in the sky. It was cloudy, but the rainbow was very beautiful. When we arrived Unitec , all most friends came there. Today, we went to the sky tower by bus. It took about 20 minutes to there, I took many pictures of city.




The Sky Tower is 328m , it was very high. When I looked up it, it was too high, so I ached my neck.We went up the sky tower by elevetor. There was glassed part, we could see how the elevator were rising and under place. It was very interesting to me. But if there is a person who is a fear of height, it is very horrible to them, I think. On the obsercatory, we could see every things in the Auckland.The weather is changeable in NZ, but it was very sunny day, we were so lucky!



After that, we went to the beach. There was very beautiful ocean. The beach call Mechanics Bay.

Some of my friend were writing some letters on the beach. I tried to do same thing. It had very good time.


After lunch, we had class today. We divided two group on yeasterday's test. We learned New pronaunciation a little, and we'll learn culture. I enjoyed talking the class today. After school, I went to home myself first time. To milldle on the road, I went home with my friend, Non-chan. She lives near my house, so we promised to meet in front of the library which is near our house about 8:00 am in the tomorrow's morning. When I separated my friend, I felt anixiety a little, whether I can go home. But I remembered my school way, so I could come back home. I was really happy.
After dinner, my host mother, Robyn helped my homework. It was difficult for me to understand Kiwi's words. She took trouble to surver on the Internet for my homework. We could do my homework together. It was enjoyable time to me, it was good chance to talk with host mother and practice to talk English.
We will go shopping tomorrow morning. I will buy surverior to my family and friends. I can't wait go to mall. (430words)

Aug 4th

Today is my Japanese mother's birthday. Happy Birthday
I congratulated her from NZ. She got 49 years old.
I and Jing-Jing went to Unitec by car. Jing-Jing picked me up to Unitec's entrance gate 3, but I must go to school on foot from tomorrow. I talked Jing-Jing in the car. She got international driver license in China. They drive right side of road in China. But New Zealand must drive left side of road as same as Japan.
She got confused on driving New Zealand at first, but she was accustomed to drive there, she said.
After I arrived the Unitec , I looked for my classroom. When I found the room and I saw my friends. I was very happy. I talked my friends about yesterday's my homestay. We were same condition, so we understood each other. We want to speak English more with our host family. But we couldn't tell them what we want to say in English. We talked our feelig, gradually, I was relieved. Because everyone feel same thing. When we talked , some people came in the room. We was introduced them. One of them was a principal in the Unitec. He was very tall and seemed to be kind. And other of them was his wife Christeana. She was the person who welcomed us in the airport. Then, there were two Japanese women, Keiko and Miyuki. They will take care of us when we were in trouble. We were happy when we knew existence of them. If I have a problem, I can talk that with them. After that we took the easily test to divide us two group. Today's class finished that. Jing-Jing picked up me at in front of my building like yesterday. To say truth, I didn't want to go back home. I wanted to be my friends more.
After I arrived my homestay's house, I watched TV.
I felt frustrated very much. Sometimes, I couldn't hear what they were speaking, I asked some times. I felt as if my host mother complain about me. Now someone who I don't know is staying in my homestay's house. I heard my name in the talk sometimes. I fear my host mother complain about my attitude. If it is true, what should I do? I want to communicate with my host family more, I talk them as I can as possible. By the way, New Zealand is very cold. Japan is summer now, but NZ is winter in this time. I wear winter clothes, and go to school. Water is very cold, so when I take a shower, I always shiver in the cold air. I watch out that don't get a cold.
We will go to sky tower tomorrow morning. I heard from Jing-Jing about that it is the tallest tower in the NZ. I'm looking forward to going there. I will take my camera, and an umbrella. Changing weather is remarkably in NZ. I need an umbrella everyday.
There was happy thing. My host mother named me "Ena". I haven't never had English name until now. So, I'm very very happy. I like the English name "Ena".(522 words)

Aug 3rd

The airplane was so nice, it had a screen each sheet. We could watch movies, listen to music and play the game while we were going to Singapore. In-flight meal was not good, if I can I didn't want to eat any more.

I took sky pictures from airplane. They were very beautiful.

It took five and a half hours to Singapore from Fukuoka. I was very tired. The time difference between Japan and there is one hour. We had long time to fly to New Zealand, we had time we can hang out in the airport. I walked around the airport to watch many shops with my friends. Our baggage was big, so we were pushing a cart while we walked around. It had good time to me, but I walked long time, my legs became pain. It was only natural there were many foreign country's people in the airport. When it became the time was baggage examination. I have heard Singapore's check is very severe. While I waited my turn, I fluttered a little. I was putting on the belt, so I took off it before the check. The inspector I was checked was also seemed to be stern. But I passed the check without hindrance. I was easy in my mind after that.

While we were flying from Singapore to New Zealand, the day changed. Plain shook many times by turbulence, I was scary a little. We ate in-flight meal twice, and the meal was tasteless to me. We have ridden airplane for about 8 hours. I thought every Singaporean flight attendants were very beautiful and they had a good figure. I was very tired more than before flight. I was too tired, I didn't want to walk any more. After we arrived New Zealand , we proceeded to enter New Zealand.In the airport, the Unitec teacher, Christeana was waiting for us. We greeted her, she was very kind to us. I changed money from Japanese yen to New Zealand doll. After a while, we went to Utitec that it is my school in NZ. The time was close to meet my host family. We could rest a little in the Unitec. While I was waiting my host family, I was under extreme tension. My host family came soon. I understand they welcomed me with warming, and they were very kind to me. After I met them, they carried my baggage.

Let me introduce my host family. My host family is 3 people. Host mother (Robin), host sister (Samantha), and Chinese student (Jing-Jing). My host mother worked drug store near our house. I call Samantha Sam, she was 19 years old, but she seemed to mature for her age. She worked certain company as reception. She commutes by bus every morning. Jing-Jing came here about 6 mouths ago, but she is good at speaking English. She is 25 years old, but she seemed to be younger. And she is Unitec student.

I did wanted to speak English with them in the car, however I couldn't talk to them very well. I was tensed up very much. I looked for subject and I tried to talk them, but it didn't continue long time. I was really disappointed. I want to express my felling and my thinking more. But what shall I do? I understand they tried hard to talk to me, and I want to ansere them more. I don't know what I say sometimes. I didn't come up with the word. It was first day of homestay in NZ. I don't give up, I talk more with them. Oh, it is the time to sleep. Good night!(607words)

1st-2nd Aug

August 1st
My fast semester's test finished 2 days ago. I'm very happy, and I'll go to New Zealand to homestay from tomorrow. After the test, I was busy preparing for me homestay.I've already finished it. Expressing my feeling, I have a feeling looks forward to go NZ, and I feel anxious about my homestay. I can write to express my feeling and thinking in English, but I'm not good at speaking to convey that. Word occurred to my mind, I can't express by speaking. I always feel frustrated. I want to communicate in English.
I know NZ's pronunciation is different from English we always learn in Japan. I feel anxious whether I can listen to that.I don't go to NZ alone, I will go to NZ with my same department friends. There are 27 people. And Mukai teacher will go to there together as attendance. She is so funny, I like her very much. Go to NZ with her is very comforting to me. I will do my best in NZ, and I want to learn not only speaking English but also culture of NZ, custom, family and so on. I want to greatly mature and go back Japan. I hope I don't became homesick.
August 2nd
At last, the time I go to New Zealand! I examined for place I will live and how to go to school and downtown in NZ. I sit up late, I didn't sleep well. I slept only a one and half hour. I might be tension a little. I had to get up 4:30 am,because the assembly time was 5:50 am. It was too early for me. I checked whether I don't have lost things. My mother took me to my university in her car. My mother said to me "Be careful your health and enjoy your homestay."
When I arrived my university, all most my friends have already assembled. I said them" Good morning", and I talked some of them.
We went to Fukuoka Airport to fly to Singapore. Mukai sensei joined us in the airport. We proceed to fly Singapore, and we took airplane.
My homestay started now. I worry about my homestay. I hope I enjoy homestay, and I make precious memories. (367words)
